My name is Philip Banks.  I am a resident of Porter Ranch and have longed for a community pharmacy in my neighborhood.  After much deliberation I decided to open Porter Ranch Pharmacy to meet the communities needs.  It has been too long since a pharmacy has served Porter Ranch and Northridge where you get to know your pharmacist, and he or she gets to know you and your family.  It is this interaction that is missing in todays corporate, big box pharmacy world and the level of service you receive at these other pharmacies shows it.  You will get to know your pharmacist at Porter Ranch Pharmacy and receive a level of service that was a thing of the past.

I bring many years of experience to better serve you, my patients, and can navigate the complex healthcare environment as I have experience in all areas.  I have worked in many areas of pharmacy practice from hospital, community pharmacy, provider group (Facey)  and managed care (Blue Shield of California and L.A. Care Health Plan).  I have been a champion for appropriate use of antibiotics, addressing health care disparities, and electronic prescribing adoption.

I received my Pharmacy degree from the University of Southern California. I have been active in many areas of pharmacy and healthcare including the California Pharmacists Association and The California Medical Association Foundation.
